One of my photos today, Silbury Hill. It’s a site near Avebury. It’s a massive prehistoric mound. Beyond that it’s all a bit of a mystery. It’s probably not a burial – at none has been found yet. It has been suggested it’s an observatory. That makes sense until you visit it. It’s built in the bottom of a valley so the view is no better than from around any of the surrounding ridges. It’s simply very very strange and very very big.
