The BBC reports that the applic­a­tion to quarry the land around the Thorn­bor­ough Henges has failed.

Tar­mac are now tak­ing the case to appeal where, a spokes­man, said: “…we hope that fac­tual evid­ence will pre­vail over myth­ical inven­tion.” Which is also the pos­i­tion of the anti-quarry campaigners.
