CA 2007: Multimedia Express
Apr 11th
Preparation for CA2007 continues. You can see something close to what I’ll be presenting at https://breeze.le.ac.uk/ca2007/.
It’s an introduction to weblogs for people who view the internet with some suspicion. If you know what a weblog is, then it’s probably nothing new for you. I’m going to try and get something written for tomorrow on blogging for beginners, so I can include it in the handout. This talk will be in the middle of other talks on traditional publishing in the CUCD session, which is why I’ve steered clear of Open Access for now, as that would be two radical ideas in one talk. After the weekend I’ll be here a lot less as there’s other work I need to finish.
I’m still experimenting with Breeze. Express is definitely the right word for this. Like a bad workman I’m going to blame it for speeding me up. I know I can talk quickly and that I trimmed some gaps from the audio recording, but I don’t think I talked that quickly. Hopefully my talk at Birmingham will be slower. Though the online version seems slower than my local version. It’s also 32MB, so it’s broadband only.
I doubt that it will get masses of More >
